With enthusiasm and a handful of classes, we launched the Taos School of Cooking in September 2001. The response from residents and local business owners was overwhelming. During our first week of advertising, we answered dozens and dozens of phone inquiries, and within no time, every class had accumulated a waiting list! Thanks to numerous gallery and bed & breakfast owners, word quickly reached our visitors, and they joined in supporting Taos School of Cooking's instant success.

Over the years, we have expanded our classes and now offer a delectable menu of hands-on classes, celebrity chef dinners, kid's cooking camp, private parties and gatherings, as well as special evenings like our most recent "Women on Fire" event.

Taos School of Cooking serves as an ongoing fund-raiser, with 100% of profits benefiting the Yaxche Scholarship fund. Knowing that the children of our community are thriving while we share in a lively evening of conversation, wine, and food with friends makes the entire course sweeter.
